YOUR FIRST VISIT ...
What can you expect when you come to our office? On your first visit to our office you will be welcomed as a member of our family and you will be greeted with a warm smile. You will then be asked to fill out some forms which will help us gain some information about you and your condition.

The doctor will then talk with you and ask you some specific questions regarding your condition, and if he has no previous health records, you will need to complete a medical history to put your current condition in proper perspective. If he feels that he can help you, he will tell you. If he feels he cannot help you, he will refer you to a doctor that will be able to help you the most. Nothing will be done in our office without your consent.

After a thorough consultation with the doctor, you will have a complete examination. This will include assessment of your vital signs, range of motion, equilibrium, coordination, and posture, testing your reflexes, your ability to turn and bend as well as other standard orthopedic, neurologic, postural, and physical examinations. The doctor will gain valuable information regarding your condition so he may have a better understanding of how he will be able to help you. In some cases, diagnostic tests may be required, and you may have to see one of our other specialists we have on staff, depending on your findings. In addition, your doctor may also take x-rays, request an MRI (a more sophisticated radiographic imaging), or refer you for additional testing procedures. All of thse exams may seem comprehensive, but it's important to remember that without all of this we may not be able to pinpoint the problem to treat it as well as documenting it properly.

Once all the information and examinations have been performed, the doctor will give you a report of findings and tell you his recommendations for treatment. Your recovery will be a joint effort between you and your doctor.

In the office you can expect a variety of treatment methods. Everyone is closely monitored with therapy tailored to each individual. Some of the procedures offered are: massage, electric stimulation, manual therapy, ultrasound, hydrotherapy, heat/ice, vasopneumatic, diathermy, traction, iontophorisis, joint injections, spinal injections, trigger point injections, as well as prescribed medication.

Our office participates in many insurance programs. We also accept auto accident liens. To find out if your insurance covers our care, you can call Shane directly at 1-866-99-SHANE (74263) or click on the Connect Me button at the top of this page.
